ANAESTHETIC are excited to reveal the Immortal Chair, designed by Ben Wahrlich for Temple & Webster’s Take a Seat for Legacy auction.
'Immortal' is a tribute towards the iconic bentwood chair. Coated in a textural golden hue of bronze and hand polished by Axolotl, it assumes a new identity as a sculptural art piece - like heroes of the past, who have been immortalised as bronze sculptures throughout history.
See the chair up close at The Grounds of Alexandria in Sydney this weekend (24-26 October) and be sure to place your bids online before the auction concludes on 30 October 2014.
Take a Seat for Legacy involves Australians from the worlds of television, radio, fashion, interiors and design donating their skills, time and creativity to decorate a classic bentwood chair for auction on Temple & Webster. 100% of proceeds from the sale of these chairs will benefit Legacy Australia's work caring for the families of incapacitated and deceased veterans.
